Some may remember Foxy Ladies, near Carbondale, south of aTopeka. It was a very plain white building. They had laminated 'menus'...and they thought there was safety in having you point to the menu with the service you wanted. After you picked from the menu, the lady would leave the room while you got comfortable. Often she had two rooms going, or people in the waiting area, or she had to answer the front door. So this made it feel a little like being in the exam room, waiting for your turn with the doctor.
When she did come in, there was always a little rub and tug, and then whatever service you pointed at.
They were busted a few years ago, which is a shame.
Recently I happened to drive by....and its an antique store now. I didn't go in, but I'm imagining a butter churn or sewing machine in the spot where the tugging went on. Or maybe some uncomfortable husband, shopping with his wife....and for some reason he knows where the bathroom is. Or maybe its a front, and its still a whorehouse.
Gave me a chuckle driving by.
