Texas Voters - Elections Nov 2014

Texas residents who visit this site should be concerned about the upcoming November elections for state legislature, county, city council and local judicial seats.
Especially those Republican candidates who have, in the past, have supported restrictions or demonstrated outright hostility to the activities this site covers. While the individual candidate may have no personal objection to these activities, to get elected, they must publicly support the proposals from religious and morality crusaders who wish severely restrict or eliminate these activities from their jurisdictions.
I urge all mongers, providers and others who believe these activities should be regulated with a light hand; that you register to vote, become aware of what seats you vote for, and how you want to vote.

Spread the word to others who believe as you do.
The time to start is now but above all Vote!!

How true!

Politicians find it much more easy (and facile) to crusade on morality issues (teen age sex, abortion, gay marriage, P4P, etc.) than on the real life economic issues, such as employment, taxes, education and health care.

Voters eventually see through these facades -- and that why even in a solid GOP district, a House Majority Leader cruises to ... defeat.

That said, imo all politics is LOCAL, even on a "national" level.

The greatest battle we have to fight in Texas elections is the one against Apathy. We've suffered through 10 years of Rick Perry and his ilk because only 25-28% of all registered voters in Texas bother to show up at the polls. You want some change? GET OFF YOUR ASS AND GO VOTE. Otherwise, don't bitch if you're not happy.

While I agree this hobby we partake in should regulated for the health and safety of all concerned and not be criminalized, both parties will campaign against this under the guise of human trafficking. To vote on a particar party on one issue alone is even more foolish.
