Crossing the Border

Anyone ever cross the border just to see a provider? If so, what reason did you provide for both exiting and re-entering?

I really mean no offense, but I think you can do better than to ask this question. I would favor legislation that require a person to be able brainstorm ten answers to this question in two minutes or less in order to be let out in public.

Visiting a friend
Casino
Eating at XXX restaurant
Want to see Falls from Canada side
Bluejays/raptors/etc
Toronto for a play
Canada's Wonderland
Everyone loves Marineland
I want to ride that ferris wheel
Going to the strip club
Cutting thru to Detroit
Crystal beach

C'mon. You going there because it is more legal so tell the truth: I want Canadian snatch.

You have to have a reason now? The good old "business or pleasure" doesn't work? It's Canada, for Tebow's sake...
Yepper!
9/11 changed all that.
You have to give a reason for your trip that gets logged into the Homeland Security data base forever....

These days you better have your story straight or your going to be stumbling through questions upon secondary inspection. Strip club and casino are the best. A couple months ago, I bought something on line through craigslist from somebody between NF and Hamilton. Rather than paying shipping and waiting, I drove over to pick it up. I paid through paypal, I went earlier than the strip clubs open and I don't normally go to the casino, so I was honest an told them I was going to pick up a $500 item. I got puled over and had to provide the name and # of the gentleman, I was going to meet. Luckily I had it or else I would have been there a long time. Last year I went to Toronto to meet a friend and they wanted her name and address. In neither case did they contact the person, but I suspect they would If you story is too fishy. They are particularly suspicious of the Friends reason because they suspect it's a stripper you met and are hooking up with.
As I said, Strip club and casino are the best and make sure you declare everything you have and it's best to leave it behind if you're not going to need it. NO WEAPONS! When you cross back into the USA, DO NOT LIE ABOUT HOW LONG YOU"VE BEEN THERE! They know. Declare anything you bought. Generally coming back is less of a hassle than going over.
Well stated drluv1!
Very important to keep your story straight because there will be follow up questions to verify what you tell them. Same for returning. Both sides freely exchange info on the purpose of your trip and are viewing on their monitor what you told the Canada Customs was the reason for your trip when US Customs questions you on your return.

You may not be aware of this but you get the third degree when crossing the border or at least I have in my last three visits. Casino is helpful
to me personally because I wasn't even aware that this may have been a viable option.

If you don't like the topic just move on. Better yet start a better one.

What they say is true. I went to Fort Erie a few months ago for Chinese. Went over around 5:30. Told him what Restaurant I was going to be at. Ended up seeing some friends up there that unbeknownst to us had gone up for dinner also. Next thing you know it is 11pm and we head home. At customs on our side the agent asked where we had been. When we told him dinner he asked us if the place had been really busy. Not thinking anything amis I said no not really. Next question was why were you there so long. I told him we had met some friends that happened to be up there also and he asked for their names. I didn't see him write it down but still interesting that he asked.

That didn't change with 9/11...I've been to Canada since then and all I told them was "business"...that was it...

Figured there was some new Canadian policy they were referring to...

Quite a few years back me and a buddy went to Canada to the strip clubs.....when coming back through customs we were asked what our business in Canada was. My buddy (who was 3/4 in the bag) says to the woman officer "I lost my virginity up there somewhere 4 years ago, we went back to find it!" We then promptly were escorted into the search area for a closer look at the car lol

Yes, you should have a complete story. I'm going to the casino, I play roulette. I only bet on red and the lower 18. If the spinner is from Italy I go to the bar and drink three Sprites while I wait for a pitboss from Toluca Lake. What the hell.

Drluv is not all off, it is best to have a few details without lying, but it is no harder than getting online and finding a craft show in Toronto, or just sightseeing. You can meet someone for a drink...jdate anyone?...without knowing where they live, and I challenge you to have the balls to not give out her number. Hell, you had to spend 15 hours IM'ing her to get that number. As far as returning plans can change. Don't let the fear mongers cause you terror. You have the right to fuck pussy on both sides of that river. You're a man!
