Pilger, NE

Been spending a lot of time there the last couple days and will be there even more over the next few weeks.

Anyone interested in donating some much needed items or monies to purchase the items needed?

Also, if anyone has a generator they'd be willing to part with, there's a 90 yr old woman who refuses to leave her home who needs one to help stay cool.

There is a lot of damage to farms and feedlots in the area as well. Groups of people have been traveling to them as well. Wisner High School has been the staging area for helpers.

What kind of stuff are they needing? I have a storage shed with twin beds furniture and other stuff.
The main thing they need now is help to clean up, water, and money. There is no place to go with things. Totes are good as they are taking things that the find such as pictures and things to the auditorium in Wisner for people to check and see if any thing is there. Debris is scattered a long ways away, an many houses were leveled to toothpicks. That way people can put things in the totes that they find that they thought they had lost forever.
MsE commend you for going to help, wish I could get away from work to go.
I just came back from Pilger. Got up super early, got there around 8am. I went early to avoid Bret Michael's being there and the media circus that would follow.

Thank you to the gents who donated and one of them saw my poor lil SUV completely full of dog food, water and weighted down. lol

After speaking with more people from Pilger, they gave me a list of what they truly need. If anyone wants to buy or give money to buy, I'm going back on Thursday. They do NOT need water, they are good for water. Money can be donated straight to the bank in Norfolk, Midwest Bank.

Here's the list -

Plastic totes
Packing tape
Men's socks
Carpenter's magnet? To pick up nails, the kind that rolls?
Large buckets
Broom's - the wide ones
Pet supplies.....leashes, shampoo, bowls, food, flea drops for both dog and cats
