Hey everyone,

So I arrived Downtown this morning and I was wondering if anyone can tell me some things that I could get in to while I am here. Are there any little hidden gems that only the locals know about that this KC girl could become privy too?
Try the City Museum it's a pretty cool place! http://www.citymuseum.org/site/

Definitely City Museum. That place is lots of fun!

If you are into haunted locations the Lemp Mansion is interesting to grab a bite to eat at. The last time I was there with some friends (with permission) we were allowed to walk around as long as guests were not disturbed. This was towards the end of the night. I think they do formal walking tours as well. http://www.lempmansion.com/

Pappy's has awesome BBQ - Take it to go unless you want to wait in a line.

Caleco's is my favorite restaurant downtown - the menu is huge with something for everyone. It is open late. There is a model train that runs around the bar and huge fish tanks for scenery. http://www.calecos.com/

Check out Http://www.explorestlouis.com

You can see an event calendar there and a list of attractions that make St Louis awesome for having fun. Have a great trip.

You are also not very far from the zoo, art museum and science museum (all free) and also close to the Botanical Gardens. And of course the strip clubs are just over the bridge.

If you like beer, Schlafly's Tap House has great beer! The Hill has great Italian and a few places for great steak, but KC also has great steaks. For BBQ, Bogart's is anther great choice.
For strip clubs check out Hustler Club in Washington Park (plus you can shopping afterwards and who doesn't like that?)

or

in Sauget.

Hollywood Showclub (right behind Hustler Club) is bright and pretty but to be honest the dancers weren't super girl friendly, it was overpriced and the porn on the TV is distracting. I found it a bit boring but always had fun at the other places.

There are other smaller establishments but they come with more riskier areas and such. Stick to well-lit and well-secured establishments. If you can take someone with you - even better.
