If someone has Insurance through Cobra from a previous employer through December 2015.....and switches to one of the plans offered (eligible through Sept 1 to make the change) ...
What are your thoughts in regards to spikes in coverage due to health related issues in the future? or being dropped?
The COBRA Plan is about the same cost but there is a lower deductible/lower out of pocket that would save about $6000
Also there is the concern for what to do when the coverage authorized via COBRA ends in December 2015...
At least through December 2015 plan that COBRA allows them to participate in is tied to a company's group coverage.
