Read you blog post this morning. Like Discreetgent said, it was much closer to what I thought it was going to be than what you thought. We had a blast though at the club in New Orleans. The girl I was with was really bi and enjoyed her time as much as I did. Usually, we would go meet couples that we already knew or had chatted with. Actually, reading your blog post brought back a lot of great memories.

I wanted to go to one with the SO when I was in SF many years ago. We were both certain we would not see anyone we knew, which has always been one of her reservations. So she was more open to going. But she still had one major reservation, and I couldn't talk her out of it. I never would have thought what she thought; in fact, I had an opposite premonition.

Long story short: She didn't want to go because she felt she would be so overshadowed by all the Pamela Anderson types in attendance. And she is darn good looking, just not a buxom bombshell. More of a good looking MILF next door type. My thought was that most people would actually be more along the lines of, well, I can;t think of anyone--but mostly a bit overweight. NOT BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.

Anyway, we didn't go so I've always wondered. That was years ago. Other than curiosity, I really have no need to go now. Back then, I wanted to "experience" it, have my senses heightened and have a wild, sexual adventure. I'd love to go to one, I guess, but I think my experience would be similar to the OP. So if I went to one today, my expectations would be pretty low.

'Sex cub'? I never think of younger men as cubs - or even always that sexy - but yes I do indulge!

Went to a dinner sex club in Amsterdam in the mid '80's. The whole city at night should be called a sex club.

The dinner club had a round revolving stage. We were served a four course meal while athletic good looking couple danced, kissed, stripped each other and had their way with each other on a mat and bar stool.

Date got really hot!!!!

Yes. These places are IMO either shit or totally shit almost everywhere in the world.

That said, there are a few very rare exceptions, e.g. Les Chandelles in Paris or
some semi-private clubs or private parties (had some great experiences in Stockholm and Paris)

I'll have to remember that the next time I get to Paris.....
