Okay- there is a principle here - We push various thoughts aside during the day because they are uncomfortable or make us anxious - then when we get ready to sleep, our mind opens up and they come flooding in. Plus you can never sleep well the first night in a hotel room - I have sleeping pills for when I travel.

There is an over the counter pill I found that works better than most prescriptions. It is called Melatonin. I like Natures Bounty brand. I was on Ambien and a few other things till I tried this stuff. It has zero after effects for me and you don't feel it the next day.

I have tried Ambien it did nothing for me. I do use Melatonin, it just takes a long time for it to start working.
I have insomnia according to the doc.
The danger with Melatonin is that it makes depression worse.
