This is a very good reason why as a hobbyist you want to have a disposable number. It kind of would suck if you got your real phone number put up on it. Eventually, a Google search of your number will bring up that it's on this site.

It's a racket ultimately, the site is trying to take advantage of your fear of getting caught being a "John" If your number is a hobby number, I wouldn't worry about it. If your number is a "real" number, I would consider changing it so you disassociate your self from that number if you really have something to lose.

Lastly, don't click the link to your profile and don't search the site specifically for your number ... they know they've peaked your fear if you do.

i agree with max. a lot of good points. with disposable phones to if you wanted to extend the life use some thing like this. http://gigaom.com/2013/04/10/dont-wa...oid-users-too/ they are all over the place. a popular one that is used here will give out a number that is a nyc number. then it is bounced back to your phone.

I love burner. I only wish I could change the icon and name of it. Best app I can think of.

Tracfones are down to $4.00 with double minutes. Why do people still,use their home or personal phones ? That is bad as some men I know keep the donation in their wallet and open it in front of the provider.
