It isn't a clever marketing tool at all. Lets be a little more creative ladies. Sometimes it is just your service sucks (or doesn't suck)...

"I'm taking a break of an undetermined length of time... may be two days, may be two months" would be a more accurate portrayal of their intent.
However, it's the ones that use (some even admittedly) the retirement announcements as a pure marketing tool, with absolutely no intent to do so, that we can all do without.

As I think I commented on a previous thread, wouldn't it be interesting if this business fell under the Federal Trade Commission's rules on false advertising?
