That reminds me...

Years ago when I was sight seeing in the City of Windcrest during their Christmas Lighting contest, there was one house we spotted that was completely dark except for a huge sign in the front yard lit up with floodlights. The sign read...

In Huge Letters...

BAH! HUMBUG!

I HATE the holiday season.

I love the idea of it but the reality of traffic, credit card debt, and Black Friday just sucks the enjoyment out of me.

And you can't forget the office parties.....(shudders)

I agree with Angel on this one.

The commercials, nonstop music, more, more, more of getting the house ready, right gifts, etc.

I simply prefer going out to a fishing pier until all the crap is over.

The best holidays are when the wife goes to visit her family for three to four weeks and I can just let Christmas and New year pass by like a chill wind.

I ensure I get the gifts bought, packaged, and distributed early and always tell the family no gifts for me. I still have gifts in a closet or drawer never used.

I am not sure of why I am so anti holiday, I suppose its from all of the family gatherings that became a 'dinner and a show'.

Here's to the rest of the nonHoliday people.

Dog, you sound like me.
I just don't do the gift thing. Now, if I REALLY love someone, ok.
Drove family crazy by not opening stuff.

Now, if you have kids, that is a different story.

I use to volunteer at Hermes music to assemble the bikes when they had the Xmas give away. THAT I would do for the holidays.
