Katrina Remembered

Hurricane Katrina made landfall today in 2005. We quickly learned two things: FEMA stands for "Federal Emergency - Minorities Abandoned," and that you can't keep a good city down. Way to come back, NOLA! And thanks for all of your beautiful ladies!

Yes, there was blowback, no pun intended. I remember being in Houston in Spring '06 and seeing "Vote Ray Nagin for Mayor of New Orleans" billboards.
I remember the signs too for good old Ray....he sure made a difference ... let's see anyone have his NEW address??? j/k

When the water supply is ruined, beer is a good choice for hydration. Doesn't go bad. Ask the Pilgrims on the Mayflower.

Especially when that beer is just floating around inside a store...free for the taking...right? Oh wait...
