Is this unusual?

So I am making an appointment and all of a sudden I'm requested to send a face pic via text. For starters my hobby phone doesn't have a camera, but aside from that I considered it a deal breaker. Too private. Am I off base here?

I don't do this, but I know some ladies do to make sure that they do not know you personally.

I don't know if this an established lady or just a BP ad you responded to. I've read that the extortion website, exposingjohns.com, places fake BP ads to collect numbers and try to get pics to put on their website.

I received and responded to that kind of request, but only replied if the lady was reviewed. One provider claimed it was because "mutual attraction" is a must for her. Thankfully I passed lol. But it is probably a security thing.

This is likely the hobbyist call. Generally I would say no way, but there was a provider on a board that was well established that I wanted to see. I did it for the reason Gigi mentioned, she wanted to make sure she didn't already know me. Which of course could still not work out well if she did to tell the truth.

Eh I don't ask for pics, but I hear a lot of ladies do. IF I know you personally, then won't I figure that out when you show up at my door?

She has been around a bit. Goes by Jodi. tried seeing her around a year ago, but had problems getting timely responses. This round I started thinking something was just off. Didn't look to see if she was on any of the boards, but she has had good reviews. She said it was for her safety.

Considering a guy can send anyone's face pic I don't ask for that as a screening requirement. I see that requirement every now and then though from other ladies but not enough to say it's common.

I don't send or allow my face pix so I would think it should be the same for the guys if they choose.
