Please make them go away...

Please go vote today. I am tired of all of the TV ads. I am tired of the phone adds and the phone polls. I am tired of 10 political ads strung together. I am tired of the accusations. If all of these things are true I would not vote for any of you. Please vote so these people will get off my TV. Please get Sarah Palin out of the spotlight (Is there a rule that the dumber you are, the farther you will get in politics?). Please get the blue and red off of my screen. I am tired of the news folks telling how the election will turn out even though no on has voted yet. Let's get Nov. 2 over so we can make these people go away.

I think I am going to vote just so I can vote for that guy who in his radio ad says he carries a gun in his boot. The KLBJ halftime show was funny when they were talking about him. I wonder if the Lettermans/Leno people have gotten wind of Patterson. If that is not a stereotypical Texan statement "I keep a gun in my boot", I don't know what is lol

Now there's a voting strategy - vote for the least intrusive candidates, maybe the others will get the message...

In retrospect, that's what I did... but for other reasons (fiscal conservatives, limited gov, socially liberal,...)

Whatever your reason for voting, get out there and JUST DO IT!

I can't wait for it to go away but please .D.E.W. not vote for/against based on who called you. That is just silly and tho you get out of your research on each side how they vote on issues that will affect your lives, your kids and on, (or mostly taking money from your pocket that you would hobby with!) is that any way to base a your most precious vote? I'm mean, really?

Your hobby money?

I find the political ads and junk mail very useful. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to or read someone's political ads and decided that this guy is an idiot, I'm going to vote against him because of something he said.

The Austin League of Women Voters has a useful guide where each candidate gets a chance to answer a group of questions for each office and the LWV puts them in their guides. A lot of the candidates lose my vote by their statement.

I find it funny how many of the candidates aren't smart enough to figure out the 75 word limit, and have their statement stop in the middle. And how many candidates are too stupid or too arrogant to reply to the LWV with their info for free publicity.
