are reference checks unusual in tyler?

Its been awhile since I've visited here and I notice no one has references? Just curious about it..

Well im originally from that area Bk n the day i would say no but nowdays sure everyone has now but problem is nobody wants to see the ones who dont require it. this coming from a so called noob. Lol id rather call it picky. But i can say stay away from north part of town if u dont know already just a heads up. gl n becarefull.

I've been asked for references before and I always said feel free to contact anyone I've reviewed.
I had only been asked by one provider in Dallas to provide them for her, even though there accessible from my profile.

Perhaps naivety on my part, but I assumed providers looked into clients same as we do to be sure all will (should) be ok!

I will say that two ladies now have suggested that I join p411 as it makes their life easier for screening. Would open doors for me too I believe. Never bothered because I'm low volume, and don't get out too often.

~~~~yes indeed, I cant speak for all the ladies, however I myself (as im sure many do) do in fact check out the references a gentleman provides, as well as reviews, p411 accts, etc. If there are no current reviews then I wont just go off a 2yr old review, alot can happen In 2 yrs.


I have noticed lately there have been more Gentlemen pop up in the area that dont have any references too, proceed with caution Sugar Marie darling. Sure -some may be great guys just trying to get a start in the hobby but some may not be so safe. So in regards to your question, Tyler men know they need references just like anywhere else, unless they are able to connect with a newbie-friendly gal that doesnt require any. But yes reference checks here are the norm and NOT unusual.

I'm about to post something controversial but here goes.

I get alot of pm's from guys here who have zero posts. Nothing about references. No problem at all for me.

Usually I can tell by how someone addresses me on this board how they are going to treat me during the appointment. So far, four years later and it still holds true.

Lately I have met two commercial airline pilots and a doctor as well as other equally good clients. I never had to ask anyone else if they had recommendations. If I would have screened like ft. knox, I would never have met them.

I don't have alot of reviews. I don't care for reviews and actually asked one of my clients to write one for me just to gain kudos in the trust dept. I have gotten pm's from guys here on the board who post often and I refused to see one because he asked me about an implicit question and I knew we would not get along very well after that.

I realize there are alot of guys who take advantage of those who do not screen but I have been fortunate asking the guy myself the screening questions and depending on how truthful and transparent they are I make my decision. I don't need or want another woman's opinion or okay. I prefer to make my own decisions and so far, I have done well for myself.
