Well, it is official, Nebraska let coach Bo Pelini go, hope that we can find a coach to move the program up a notch. Thanks Bo, you did some good things, and at least got the program moving up, just felt like a plateau was reached that was below championship levels.
Only real problem Bo had was that he was too loyal to his assistants. I know something had to change, but I hated this and have no faith in "I can handle this myself" Shawn Eichorst. That being said, if he wasn't willing to shuffle the coaching staff (which Solich did, creating the big turnaround in his last year) then I guess Bo had to go to. For what it is worth, read the tweets from the current and former players. They love him and if you read, many say that they wouldn't be the "man" they are if not for Bo. Note: they said "man" not "player". Isn't educating and turning out quality young men a HUGE part of what a coach is supposed to do? -Miss you Bo
