Harden is probably MVP of the league so far.

Damn, didn't know Rondo is with the Mav's now!

The West ain't bullshittin' this year! The Grizzlies, Warriors, Rockets, quite a few of those West teams are doing quite well. But it's a LONG season, and anything could happen.

Rondo going to the Mavs was a bit of a surprise. They traded their entire bench to get him though so while they've got a great starting lineup there is no depth. Rondo is a free agent after this year.
Boardman, that is not true. My guess is you've not watched many if any Mavs games this season so far.

In a nutshell, the Mavs gave the Celtics "a starter for a starter" (Jameer Nelson for Rondo)....then added in the two bench players, Rae Crowder and Brandan Wright. To balance out contract money, I assume, Dallas also takes (from Boston) Dwight Powell.

We'll miss Wright; he's a fan fave (but basically was glued to the bench last season when Dallas took San Antonio to 7 games in the first round). Crowder...meh, no one will even notice he's gone (10.6 mpg / 3.6 ppg). Other than that, where's this "entire bench" thing you're referencing? The Mavs core bench is still pretty much intact.

I like Neslon and will miss him along with the other guys, but they are trying to build the best team right now, and that is respectable.
As much as I dislike Rondo, he will do well in Dallas. He's got real weapons outside and in.

I agree with boardman. Anthony Davis is double tremendous work in New Orleans by himself basically. Harden needs to work on his defense still.

Crowder was getting about a quarter a game. Wright and Nelson were playing well over that. It didn't look like the rest of the bench even came close to those minutes.

Rondo is a big boost to the starting lineup, Hell, I wish the Rockets had gotten him. It just doesn't look to me like the bench is nearly as deep and that will make a difference come March and April.

Contrast that with the Rockets and the time that Tarik Black has had on the court early when Howard was out. Black has gotten healthy minutes in a few games and his play has improved because of it. Now's he's getting minutes because he contributes. He's the kind of guy that doesn't mind getting dirty and his contributions aren't always valued in stats.
I second that!

Joe Smith looked pretty good in his first game. 21 points and 8 rebounds
