Hey, what happened to Backpage? Just went their and all their good stuff is gone! Just checked it about an hour ago and it was fine. Now those sections are gone!

Yeah, I saw that too. I enjoyed going through every now and then and seeing the obviously fake ads! There is a topic about this in the alerts section too. Supposedly a federal seizure, but I don't know for sure.

I went to check right now and I had no problems viewing the listings in that section.

Just heard this morning feds are cracking down on underage and human traffiking prostitution. Wonder if this has anything to do with it.
Damn, Damn, Damn . . . was wondering what was going on. I just checked on my ads, and they are still there, but there are lot's more than usual now.
Thank goodness for ECCIE!
Im not worried about it I just advertise here on eccie.

If you go to the main site, it's gone. But, if you follow this link, it's all still there.

Here are my thoughts...and no offense to the Owners or Mods of ECCIE...but, we really need to get a clue...and FAST!

Just to bring to your attention...a couple of past alerts that pointed the way to the things that are inevitable. I've made comments before...that things like this could bring unwanted attention to our community. And, for those people who think we're completely safe, by being on ECCIE or any other website, think again.

If the Owners of these sites don't police their own interest...and enable scumbags, like freefree212, to get verified status...and bring his/their trash to our community...what do you think is going to happen?

Wake up people! Some thought that BP wouldn't get raided or put up a bigger fight than CL...really? When are we going to understand that when the authorities decide to take action...they can and will. The best thing we can do is keep informed and be smart...and be vigilant to keep "TRASH" out of the community the best we can.

Troy, I checked and had the same results. Not being able to click thru from the city portal page is gonna kill page views/traffic, really affect the gal's cashflow.

Nikki, I agree with everything you said above. Unfortunately freefree210 is (was) as free as anyone to join and be a member as long as he followed the rules.

Its second guessing, and I have little to no right to say since I sacrifice none of my time to mod etc , but I'm just gonna say just once that I wish this board would have been more timely responsive to removing freefree210's evilness than it was closing a silly little catfight thread where one adult is called "ghetto".

I think the future of boards like this is going to require a fundamental change. Adults have the 1st amendment right to talk about adult behind closed door sex. There's never going to be a problem with that with membership bbs like this.

However, prostitution is pretty much a crime everywhere. That has been a serious problem in the past, was a problem last week in Philadelphia, and will be a problem in the future. It did craigslist in, and appears to be doing backpage in as I write this. '

The only sure way to eliminate? Eliminate ALL talk of pay for play, the roses bs--all of it.

This applies to bcd with independants only. Agencies, tit bars, massage places--there are different criminal statutes being violated besides pay for play, and eliminating pay for play would do little if anything to deal with those issues.

Think of it. No more guarded reviews--or ads. The ability to descibe in detail what ever the encounter was about--toe sucking, ass eating--whatever. As long as its between consenting adults and there is no mention of pay for play (including the roses and +++ bs), a problem would never arise.

Its unnecessary. Anyone pinching pennies that close needs to find a cheaper hobby. The market will stabilize at what it stabilizes at--prices in ads/reviews have little or nothing to do with that.

I cant remember the last time I paid anything but an amount generously above advertised fees. I'm a fan of the quickies, and quickies are cheaper, but price doesnt have to be part of the equation.

"I'm looking to fall in love in 15 minute increments this morning" or "there is nothing more in the world I want to do today than to black kiss a fat old guy's butt" ads tell me everything I need to know, violate no law.

Nikki,
Its an interesting idea to verify hobbyists which would cut out people like freefree. We all benefit by keeping them outside the fence, so to speak! However, I think you are right when you say police intervention is unavoidable if not inevitable. If/when LE decides to come knocking, there is little that can be done. Who wants to spend the time/money and risk their reputation by getting drawn into a potentially messy legal battle? Let's just hope we stay off the radar and out of the media so taking down the site won't become the feather in the cap of some over-zealous D.A. or police department!

Certainly cutting links to people who get busted (such as freefree) helps to keep the site off the screen, but somewhere, in some city, LE has to know about the site to some extent. It's part of the risk of belonging to a community which has sections spanning across city, state and even international lines! I think there is little that can be done by the owners, or anyone else, to keep the site off the radar forever. Just be safe, screen (which sucks for someone without references like me ) and enjoy the ride while it lasts, because nothing lasts forever! Happy Hobbying everyone!

Cmon, Marcus, Ellie keeps a closer watch than that.

Imagine that you are at work some morning. Had your 6 donuts. Read the sports section. Pinched a loaf with company TP without messing up your bathroom at home. Take a 15 minute break.

Then you decide to get to it. Turn on your work computer. Immediately go to Eccie San Antonio. While you are looking at the showcases pics or using the "search" feature to find the perfect 34b, your boss comes up behind you.

"Excellent work", your boss says. "Good to see you hard at it. Keep up the good work". Do you work in the twilight zone? No, you're a guy working in the SAPD vice unit, (Not you Marcus I am being rhetorical).

Over the years, barring a few (very few ) stings of independents. Some busts of socials. Busts of agencies. Lots of busts of potentially dangerous cash and dashes and other potentially dangerous situations, I see the discreet hobbiest and the discreet provider pretty much left alone.

But rest assured. There is more than a couple desktops in the SAPD with eccie bookmarks. As long as you mind your business, vice seems to mind its business, for the most part.
It just looks like an error in the code..for SA main backpage url. all other cities links work fine...It even works well on my droid phone..
Geez...and now Starr35 was just busted and all over KENS5! I feel like putting myself in box and shipping myself out...can someone please lick my stamps?
Good-bye cruel world!!
I wish star would change her avatar ....I don't think it helps the community much.
Just my humble opinion ...
