You eloquently laid out a detailed manner in which to deal with someone in their personal life that would destroy them and their future....... I believe it is something that should have been done off the boards if at all but...... what is done is done......
My personal opinion is that you (and others) outed a member of this community by providing more than enough real world information about him that the combination of just a couple of items you summarized yields his real life information.
That is outing a member... I believe you should be banned for it but I am sure there will be an outcry that you are simply one of the heroes.....Perhaps you will get probation... Maybe deferred adjudication.....
And at the end of the day..... Are you really someone that has never posted or just another of the many handles that people materialize when they choose to remain anonymous?
I have a couple of questions.....oooops... I think I already asked one....
You state you are an Attorney licensed to practice law in the state of Texas with a little knowledge of Criminal Law....
1) Don't you have access to much more sophisticated and accurate source of court records than the need to utilize publicly available sources? Maybe I misread your narrative. I did not understand why you would need to use the same tools someone like myself might resort to.
2) You made a point of discussing a member's "convictions" earlier..... And how those "convictions" might lead to a greater "felony conviction"...... Could you please provide us non attorneys with an explanation of what a successfully completed deferred adjudication is in comparison to a "conviction"?
Most attorneys would have presented the information in a more factual manner I believe.
Then again..... Most attorneys would have never involved themselves in posting something as detailed and inflammatory as you did that could lead to a young man losing his future..........
I asked one of our members that IS a local Criminal Defense Attorney to read your post and give me his opinion..... His take was legal aide, legal secretary or law school drop out...... a wannabe basically....
I'm not sure I agree... I have met more than a few that have passed the bar and earned the right to call themselves an attorney that have done far worse....
