What happens to the contents of the mailbox when a member takes an unplanned vacation?

Mods are like cops: can't ever find one when you need one.

The contents of your PM box is shared with select members in a special forum that read and document what is to be found for future reference....

as well as the inherent entertainment value.....
If you are banned, your PM box is unaffected. You cannot receive new PMs, and members cannot send you a PM. Your handle is frozen. The clock on your Premium Access doesn't stop though. You can run out of premium access while you are banned.

Finally an answer. Thank you, Simon.

You can always dowload your PM from this site.
So Simon, if the PA runs out while banned, is the capacity frozen with the account? Or does it drop and delete messages to accommodate?
I really don't know Rick. I've always kept my messages below 50. So the few times I was banned, that didn't affect me. I suspect that the system would dump them.

What has happened to your messages when you've been banned?
I don't keep mine. But I have come back to lovely messages from mods telling me why I was banned.
I know if you have the attached email turned on and in the drop down menu people can still email you thru Eccie.

At that point you can either re-up the PA through the normal channels, or start deleting messages until you get under the Registered Member threshold (50 messages, that includes both inbox and sent mail too)

But in no event are the messages deleted or anything by the system, they just sit there until you do something with them.
