He has had a history with legal troubles around the Super Bowl. He was arrested the day before the Super Bowl in 2010 on a domestic battery charge, but prosecutors later dropped the case because of inconsistencies between the victim's statements and evidence, including surveillance video.

Plus it happened in AZ during Super Bowl time, when plenty of extra LE are on duty watching for SP action.

No offense, but I never liked Sapp as a player, not even when he played for my beloved (and beleaguered) Oakland Raiders.

On the field Sapp had those Mike Singletary eyes -- wide open and lit up.

I remember one of the happiest moments of my life was watching Sapp playing for Tampa Bay against the Bears, eyes all fired up. Moments later he was walking to the sidelines with a hand over his left eye. He got poked in the eye!!!

Oh, how I cherished that moment as I did when Bo Jackson ran Brian Bosworth completely over in a Monday Night Football game.
