How many providers keep their SO in the dark?

Ladies, do you keep your SO in the dark as to your provider activities?

A provider I see has a boyfriend, but he's totally unaware of how she makes her money. She tells him that her parents send her money every month.

Curious as to if thats the norm or if some of you have understanding SO's.
