Images and provider ads: What EXACTLY does the new "anything goes" change mean?

Fancyinheels's Avatar
Well, now that it is evidently okay to post ANYTHING, as exemplified in Co-ed...

http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=1306869

How does this affect the image guidelines in the provider ad forums? St. C's site-wide announcement:

02-19-2015 until 03-22-2016
ECCIE Image Standards (UPDATED)

The image restrictions previously enforced on the site have been lifted.

Items which were previously limited to the private areas of the site will now be allowed in the public areas.

Avatars, linked images, or URL links which direct to sites that include pornographic images or video are no longer prohibited. Images depicting sexual conduct are no longer prohibited. Photos which show direct exposed genitalia are no longer prohibited.

Thanks for your participation!

However, I am confused, as I noticed that the following guidelines are still standing in the ad forums:

ECCIE Image Standards. This is stickied next to this thread in every ad posting forum on the site, as well as here. Please familiarize yourself with the guidelines in order to make sure that your posted images are in compliance.
-Sex - Sex is one of many frequently discussed topics here at ECCIE.net. We do not want to be too restrictive when it comes to discussions which pertain to sexual subject matter or images portraying various forms of sexuality, however we do ask that if you are a provider who advertises on this site, please avoid posting images of yourself engaging in sexual conduct, which may include exposed self-stimulation or involve another party. Please understand that you may be asked to remove images which fit this description, or they may be removed for you.
-Nudity - Nudity is ok, however there are limitations that we would like for you to follow when posting images in any of our public forums. You may post photos which include various nude poses, front and rear, however we will not allow photos which show direct exposed genitalia. Breasts which are exposed are acceptable, but shots which show genitalia from any angle will be removed. Keep in mind this will be at the discretion of our staff, and this applies specifically when posting in our public forums and the Image Gallery within your Showcase.

So, this is null? Providers may now post ads with completely as-God-made-'em-nekkid-private-parts-wagging-in-your-face pics, including photos/video of themselves engaging in graphic body-spelunking-fluid-exchanging activities?

No, no, Fancy is not doing porn shows, but I'm sure that many ladies and gents with inquiring minds and lolling tongues will want to know this with absolute clarity. Thanks.

They have a lot of site cleanup to do to remove all those stickies and guidelines...

That is a personal problem. You chose the droids.

Sucks on iphones and ipads as well

Edit: wait, that wasn't a poorly done "These are not the droids you are looking for" reference was it?

I noticed it too fancy but the old image guidelines for the site as a whole are now defunct so the changes apply to showcases, ads, signatures, avatars, and everything else.

As mentioned, I'm sure someone will get around to cleaning up the bits and pieces eventually.

I just wanted to make certain that was the way of things, now. Thanks for making it clear, Spice. Personally, I agree with the lovely LatinaMoxie about leaving something for imagination and anticipation. However, to each his own, or rather HER own, zone of naked comfort.

Will be very interesting in the days to come to see how far some providers go to promote themselves.

Don't know anything about cable speeds, however, but have to wonder why it's so bad on my supposedly "high speed" Internet connections. (Suddenlink at my home BITES, and Comcast at my apartment doesn't rate much better. Overpaying for both, in my opinion.)

The mobile site of ECCIE is TOO limited. I always go to the regular version on the phone.
I found that downloading the free Puffin browser helped considerably. Seems to tolerate graphics better.

try Opera

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d....browser&hl=en

might help or might not be your cup of tea but it's free to try.

I don't care for the mobile version either.

as for cable speeds, if you don't or do know what your paying for you can check or verify here
http://www.speedtest.net/

pretty sure there is an app for that to for checking WiFi or mobile network speeds
