ECCIE Image Standards (UPDATED)
The image restrictions previously enforced on the site have been lifted.

Items which were previously limited to the private areas of the site will now be allowed in the public areas.

Avatars, linked images, or URL links which direct to sites that include pornographic images or video are no longer prohibited. Images depicting sexual conduct are no longer prohibited. Photos which show direct exposed genitalia are no longer prohibited.

I'm sure there is a good business reason for this change and that the leadership of this board did a comprehensive risk assessment before making the change - however, my initial gut thought is that this could bring additional unwanted attention to Eccie from LE, media outlets, zealous lawmakers, etc. I just don't see the advantage of bringing porn into the mix of a hobby board. Just my $.02

Maybe a Mod could provide some insight regarding the rationale and strategy behind the change?
