I used to use limewire, but I prefer frostwire and microtorrent. Between the two of them, I can find pretty much anything and no viruses that I'm aware of.

No thanks, I'd sooner pay for my music.

Several years back when I tried limewire, I had hundreds of browser porn windows open up. Couldn't stop it till I hit the reset switch. It took me a day reinstalling software to get my system working correctly.

I've never used Limewire, but I have used eMule in the past. It was good once, but then the recording companies started flooding the system with fake song files. It became extremely difficult to find anything that you were looking for, unless you were some combination of clever and lucky; now it's just not worth the time, and I'd rather just pay for it (which was their plan all along, I'm sure).

But there is a little trick that I use if I can't find songs anywhere else. If you find a song or sound clip on YouTube that you like, you can get yourself a free software program like YouTube Downloader that will download the YouTube video to your computer (clever name, eh?). Then you can go get a free software program like MediaCoder and just rip the audio out of the downloaded movie and save it as an mp3. It's kind of like ripping mp3s from CDs, except you rip it out of YouTube.

I prefer torrents. Its WAAY faster and a decent torrent site will provide ratings and comments on each of the torrent files.

I download my torrent tracking files from:
95% from isohunt.com
5% from mininova.org

I prefer 'Vuze' as a bit torrent client. The only downside is that during installation it tries to install some stupid toolbar which I immediately uninstall.
I agree Trapper. Torrents are way better you can choose from the whole CD or you can just click the song files that you want.

I use Limewire for music and movies. I had a few Virus issues caught by my security software. Mostly from movies. But for the most part, it has served me well.
