So what could go wrong here?

Just received the following private message in my eccie account:

********* ************************

Four million euros could buy a lot of time with my atf plus help me find a few more atf's. Anyone see a downside here?

other than you posting a PM (sarcasm btw), nah! go for it! lol just keep the thread updated on what you do with the 4 mill.

the mods gotta let spam slide I'd think (guidelines, not rules). and another example of something else I'd call a technicality.

fwiw, I have asked mod. to remove all names and e-mail from post to protect the potential identity thief. My apologies to identity thieves everywhere.

well damn! I guess not a technicality.

even spam is protected? not what I would have guessed. maybe it was just edited at the OP's request? I was messing with you OP to be clear. (the sarcasm)

I could see editing the name of the spammer but the spam itself. color me surprised.

And I got a warning.

As for my new found friend who was going to leave me 4 million euros, they got banned. Just my luck.

Googling the first sentence in that message after the sender's supposed name, reveals how common that bit of spam is.

ha, ha! not laughing at you OP.

that is rich I gotta say! the spammer banned and the victim gets a warning.

I guess think twice about what you post. also it's too late to be a performer in Ban-a-palooza 2015.

I suppose if we get enough new performers entries we could hold other subfestivals and then later on hold a festival of top performers for the best of the best.

for Hardhat, his sugar daddy left an outside e-mail address so no worries.

Sorry to hear about your lost opportunity at the 4mil. That's gotta hurt. Are you sure your friend didn't leave any way to contact them? Perhaps a post office box in Nigeria?
