Some friends and I recently visisted Bangkok and I got lucky with the lodging I picked for us. We stayed in a high rise located on the same block as Cowboy
and from our balcony on the 40th floor, we could look straight down and see the alley. Here's a trip advisor link if anyone wants to check it out. I wrote a review also.

Its a huge 4 bedroom, 5 bath apartment on the 40th floor (express elevator makes getting there quick) with security and parking attendants who are
very friendly and helpful. The security guards always let us in with the ladies without asking to see id's.
The room manager, Choo, is very helpful and provided us with a local cell phone and mobile hot spot so we could use the internet with our gringo
phones. I would stay there again mainly because the proximity to Soi Cowboy is literally a 2 minute walk. The picture is a view of Cowboy from the balcony.
