So, I know a lot of folks on here have good luck with CL, but every woman who writes back is either a robot or asks me to join these http://cnfidentdating.com sites. Anyone tried these? Are they legit? Should I just get a hobby CC to use on these place?

It's a scam. Real craigslist girls don't want you wasting time on that...they want you to be at their place in 10 minutes or less.

If the chick is real you will know in 5 seconds. 99% is crap but occasionally you get some good porn pics.
