Miley - Remembering a Dear Friend

Ladies and Gents,

It was one year ago this Saturday, December 4, 2009, when our dear sister Miley left us to be with the angels! She was a dear lady that when you met her she instantly became your friend. She was full of life, she always was at the ready to talk whether it be to trade jokes, offer compassion, love, or just the everyday conversations between friends. For my own personal memories, we had met via the old site, was through pm's then emails, and we frequently conversed. I think about her often.

I talked with Miley's dear friend Hanna this am to share rememberences of her between us. Hanna and Miley were dear friends and I wanted to ask Hanna's blessings to start a tribute on here to Miley. The first time I ever talked to Miley, I had called her and we were talking away like old friends, she says to me "here talk to my friend a minute", well it was Hanna, and the conversation wasn't for a minute as Miley was with Hanna at the cottege, they were partying, and I should have, in hind sight headed there, cause we were all on the phone long enough that I would have had time to travel back and forth several times in place of staying on the phone!

Bless you Hanna at this and all times, and I hope all of you that were friends with Miley and are friends of Hanna will offer some thoughts here, and also let Hanna know you are thinking of her.

The first I met on a board. Sent me to Hanna. I still miss her late night pm's.

Through the good offices of Hanna, I had the privilege to meet Miley once. She was a very genuine, sensitive woman. She may be gone, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.

the sad news of her untimely passing.

I too had reached out to Hanna last week offering her good tidings, knowing how hard of a time this is... It's hard for many of us that came to know Miley not only through this hobby, but as a genuine friend. Her gentle spirit and loving eyes will stay with me forever..


I truly miss you my dear girl... I pray that your family has found some peace and that this years holiday, although still painful, can be a happier brighter one... RIP

We mourn Miley's passing a year ago, and now, on its anniversary, we come together to remember a fine lady.

Lake, thank you for starting this thread of our dear friend Miley.

For me it's rather fitting you brought the memory up, as you were the one who informed me of the terrible news last year. I called Hanna on Saturday, leaving a message. Without talking with Hanna I wouldn't bring the topic up. I'm glad you did, Miley made a number of friends here. Chatting with another hobbyist last week, Miley's passing was painful for a number of us.
Today, talking with a non-hobbyist, I was talking of Miley, telling her the thing about Miley was her honesty and tremendously big heart.

As many have mentioned, a memory of Miley is incomplete without her friend Hanna. I had the sad privilege of talking with Hanna a few times back then; and the opportunity to see loyalty and friendship not waver in a very difficult and severely nerve racking circumstance. I don't think any of us could have made the sacrifices Hanna made for Miley and her family last December. To protect Miley's memory and family, Hanna and Amber cleaned her location, not even hearing my suggestion to stay away. Hanna was a one person crusade to bring Santa for Miley's children.

Life goes on, but we will miss Miley.

Laker - I also thank you for honoring the memory of a beloved friend. Anyone who believes that this is just a business transaction never had the honor or pleasure of meeting Miley or her dearest friend Hanna. May her family seek comfort that this dear lady touched the hearts of many and has left us way too soon. God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand until we meet again dear Miley, you are not forgotten.

Miley was a very special lady. I am sure she is missed by all that had the pleasure to know her. Miley found a place in my heart the first time I met her
