I don't see how they could arrest him. He only charge for an introduction. Unless he opened his mouth, they have nothing on him. Unless he thinks he is so smart that he can talk to the police, he walks.

Of course,
the LEO should have probable cause (if not an actual warrant, but that is a different circumstance).
Where the arrest goes (after transport to the calaboose) is up to the prosecution and the judge.
In certain instances, an arrest
may result in zero prosecution, if the prosecutor decides that the facts presented won't support the charge. Case may then be dismissed.
However, the arrested person has still undergone jail house processing, including fingerprinting and photography, a likely initial court appearance, bail setting and bonding out, and innumerable other expenses and inconveniences, some of which may become very public (think media coverage) depending on the arrested person's notoriety or celebrity or public standing.
Key to avoiding any of the above is:
Do not be any where the LEOs can get the drop on you. Which is why screening and vouching is so vital in the hobby -- perhaps more so for the ladies, of course, but equally important for the dudes with "too much to lose."
Chapter and verse if you do the research.
Letting the little head overcome big head thoughts and gut instincts can often get one into a lot of trouble.
