Stolen Ad

I have seen the ads for Adultsearch.com posted on Backpage ever since the CL adult section was closed. Tonight I got a call from a gentleman who was calling in reference to an ad he said I had posted on Adultsearch.com. I have NEVER even looked at that sight much less posted on there... but sure enough... there was my ad!! Posted on Nov 30th at like 1am!! It was an identical ad I had placed on BP at one time.

I have written the site to ask how my ad got there... if I even get a reply! But thought I might let you ladies know to check for your ads possibly stolen and placed there. I don't know about you, but I like to know where my ads are at ALL times!!! And that is not one of the places I wanted it!!!!

I did get a reply simply stating that my ad had been removed...which it has been.. I just looked. But not an answer as to how it got there.

It happens to me alot....several sites combine with otheres & will post your ad without your consent.....

Red. They simply copy your ad from BP and post it on their site, Cityvibe does it also. Since CL closed down someone started a new site hoping to make money from it if they get enough traffic and can sell ad space. It may be a good thing, getting more ads out there.

I don't like that either. I had an email from someone saying he saw me on Cityvibe or somewhere like that. I've never placed an ad there. When I looked it up, it was my Eros ad copied! Grrrrr! I think it sucks because you may not have wanted your ad up for their demographic to see! If you are working on attracting a client who's more your type or that you're more familiar with, you don't want your ads randomly popping up all over the net! At least BP actually called me to ask before they did that.

I just got in from my appointment and found this reply from the site:

RPM... The only problem I have with the extra advertisement is that I have no control of it this way. At least on here or BP I can go in and edit or delete my ad when needed. When it is done this way I can't alter it in any way.

Now I wonder where else I'm floating around??? Damn!!

Red. I agree with you not having control. Not sure if you can stop them from doing a copy and paste on it. If you find it every time you'll have to notify them to remove it. I'm guessing they will keep doing it, knowing you have no real way of stopping them short of going to court. I know you don't want go there.

After doing a lot of searching the last few days I have found my ad on several sites that I didn't put them on. I even deleted all my backpage ads two weeks ago when all the LE activity started and they keep reposting my ads. And I never sign up for the reposting because my availibility changes so much.

So just because you see a lady's ad on a certain site, it doesn't mean we put it there!! So girls, so much for controlling the type of clients that one might want to attract.

You might want to check naughtyreviews and the provider report. I had never been on either site and found guys contacting me from there. When I asked naughtyreviews how I got there you are gonna laugh at this part. They told me hobbyist submit them Now I don't know about ya'll but I find this very hard to believe. I mean what guy would take the time to do that. Not all but some never even do their homework on us ladies. The guy (Tom) from naughtyreview said he was offended when I told him my add was stolen. I replied well if I did not put it up there it is stolen PERIOD. So in order to get the pictures changed I signed up there. And before I even knew I was on there 2 guys I had seen gave me reviews there LOL.....

I am like you I like having the control of what is out on the web about me.

Another update. Backpage replied to some of my emails about them reposting my ads. They gave me control back to my ads and said it was just a mistake on their part. So at least if my ads are going to be on bp I can decide what they say and what pics are used.

I have had 5 potential client calls over the last week...all thinking i am in albuquerque!!!!
