Personal attacks - maybe we CAN do without them?

I want to thank DDarkness for a recent post he made:

Since that post, and I don't think it's just coincidental, the interaction here seems like interaction has gotten more "harmonious" for the lack of a better term.
Is everybody going to like or agree with every post they read? No way in hell should that ever be expected. Will everyone here "like" everyone else regardless of what they have to say, or the way they chose to contribute to these forums? Again, no way.
It would be nice to continue to see people disagree in a more constructive way. Jabs made in jest, and making it clear that's your intention are one way. Ignoring a post that you don't like would be another. And just stating in so many words, "hey I totally disagree with what your saying, but that's your opinion, and here's mine", without using any inflammatory statements would be another.
With such a huge collection of personalities, it would be impossible to expect that everyone is going to get along all of the time. But I honestly believe that a lack of personal attacks on one another would certainly encourage members to participate more than they might otherwise, with a fear of being belittled in any way. And yes, there are going to be lurkers, or people who choose not to post reviews for whatever personal reasons they might have, but their right to do or not do so should be respected as their choice.
Since all of the above is my own opinion, I'm not expecting unanimous agreement. But if just 1 or more members can take something away from it, this post will not have been a waste of space or time....and that just "maybe", I have just made at least a small contribution to the board.

I agree.. Things have gotten more harmonious around here.
This was my goal when I posted the "Good Morning" threAD.
I saw/see how rude and just plain mean people can be here.
There is a better way to interact.
Just because you do not particularly like/agree with
a specific person/post does not mean you must be rude/mean.

Can't we all just get along?

There are many, many different personalities here. Some of them are complete asshats, some of the are awesome. Some are mean here and super nice in person.
Just take what comes in stride and keep moving on.

I agree bltz.. I have been on and off this board for years.. And one of the main reasons is people sometimes can be mean as hell.. Or they just put on a show.. Be who you are.. Angel has met me and i am who i say i am.. And so is she.. You both are completely right. So many ppl so many posts.. And its bound to happen.. But shit.. If u dont like what u read.. Thats on u.. Good post bltzr666 and reply angel! I have seen quite a bit of general improvement over the past couple months, and agree, keep it from being personal. I love that angels "Good morning" posts persevered! Some belly after but a bunch played along with it and there has been some good fun (including irony of it being a threAD... Who cares... She made it BIGGER than a threAD. A threAD and fun are NOT mutually exclusive!). Many of us are here for multiple reasons... Sex, income, connection, fun, intimacy missing elsewhere,... It isn't necessary that a person is here for only one reason. We are broad living beings... Complex, and simple. How nice to have a haven like this to connect, play, joke, meet new folk, get needs met... No need to add any hated to the world; I think that is already being covered pretty well!
