It has been brought to my attention that a certain member has accused me of not bothering to knock on his door and therefore wasting his time. I showed up to the location, which was in a part of town I do not like but I made an exception for this person as he was from out of town and didn't know any better. I wish he had asked for a suggestion as to where to stay.
Anyway, I arrived to the location, went to his door (room number was in bold print) and I knocked. Granted, I don't knock so hard on people's doors that it shakes the wall, but I knock firmly and loud enough for a person to hear it. I could hear a male voice speaking quite loudly, and after knocking a second time I could hear a second male voice over the phone. I have perfect hearing, and I could tell that the gentleman was no more than 3 feet from the door the whole time I stood there. I continued to knock and after 5 minutes of no answer, I assumed the gentleman was going to finish his phone call before opening the door.
I was in a part of town I despise, and regardless of where I am I keep a low profile due to the fact that I live locally and have many friends, co-workers, family in the tri-county area. I don't know why this person is claiming that I just blatantly wasted his time, because I took the time to knock several times and to give him time to answer the door until I deemed it was no longer safe for me to be standing around in that area of town.
So, I apologized and I am apologizing again for the whole fiasco that day, but if you (the person in question) prefer to bash me on the forums and question my dependability and integrity, then go ahead if it makes you feel better. I showed up, gave you ample time to answer the door, and I refuse to be a sitting duck in a bad part of town.
I am not going to bash you, so I would appreciate this drama to cease. Thank you and have a great day.
