I am looking to get some new furniture for my living room and bedroom. My question is does anyone know of any places that I could purchase those items fairly inexpensive? I have a King bed, but am wanting dressers and night stands. Thanks everyone for any ideas you can give me! !

Hugs and Kisses,
Emmie

I will tell ya to check out Big Bobs furniture outlet on Noland road or Furniture deals on Metcalf. Probably better off at Big Bobs.

Also there is a new place just moved in from Topeka called Furniture Mall..its in the old Benchmark in Olathe.

Lastly a personal friend I would recommend is a bit more expensive but god quality is Crowley In liberty

Best Advice is pay a little extra and ask questions...like how it made

Hope that helps

If you like antique type items, perhaps wander around the west bottoms 1st weekend thing. A lot of refinished items in several buildings.

Also check Craigslist - lots on there at good prices, and the consignment stores are great for used furniture. There are a couple in Overland Park.

NFM does carry some good pieces, but you have to know what to look for. Do some research and look for a quality brand of furniture( what type of wood is used is a good indicator) then shop for price,

Quality furniture is expensive. But on the flip-side if you buy high quality at a high cost you have that style for years even if it goes out of fashion. If you buy middle of the road at half the price, you will change it out once or twice in the reasonable useful lifetime of the quality piece, meaning you can have the latest fashion furniture.

There are also several custom furniture makes in the KC area that turn out quality pieces. Most are using reclaimed or re-purposed wood.
You can also check Crate and Barrel for sales.

Cinder blocks, some boards, and some milk crates. Got yourself a dresser.

Look on craigslist. Some people have stuff they want to get rid of so they don't have to move it.

it is always fun to go to garage sales/flea markets...and put your own flair on the stuff you get
There is a resale store in Blue Springs (off I-70 @ Exit 20, Hwy. 7). They have a very nice selection of all kinds of furniture. I forget the name but you could probably use google map to find it.

They had an African birthing chair a couple of days ago if you are into that kind of thing.
