THE BITE IS ON

Just bought my bay house and decided to purchase a new boat to go along with it. Been mopping up the Trout in West Bay on artificial and Flounder with live shrimp. All in all it's been good. To bad I have to leave to go back home next week.

Just wanted to give my fellow anglers some tips.

Caught my limit on trout early this morning, 3 flounder and 7 channel mullets "redfish" through those back.

Reminds me, I was watching Celebrity Wife Swap when I was bored the other day and Margaret Cho's Mom made this Korean cod semen soup/cod milt (google it for recipe, lol). I really thought I'd seen and heard of every bizarre Asian food, but this one was a surprise, lol. I looked it up and read it's supposed to give guys more stamina bcd.

Sounds like fun.
Let me know when you want to head offshore.
You fucker..... I needed a place to park my boat....

It's all good... I will just move yours when you are not around.

Don't turn the water off while you are gone, I can guarantee you no scales on the deck. And your boat might even be clean.

All the rain we had in the spring pushed most of the fish from the upper bay system south to east and west bay along with beach front. Fishing has been excellent.

I usually fish offshore. The 12 hour snapper trips are fun but the 36 hour tuna trips are more productive.
Inshore fishing I like to catch some croakers and free line for trout or red fish.
I also like High Island surf fishing when the bull reds are running.
^^^ this right there^^^
Good to hear your success in the bay, it's always more fun catching than fishing. But deep water is the way to go. Get out by the abandoned rigs and chase some schools around. Take others cuz you'll need numbers to make it worthwhile. You'll have your limit and theirs too. But its a tank load of gas to get out there and back.
