Nervous about Midland/Odessa

Hey you guys, let me start by saying this post is not in an attempt to get prebooks, but it is an actual question/concern.

I think it's well known that Bella and I are traveling to Midland/Odessa in a week, and I have never hobbied there before. From everything I have heard it's a very active hobby place. But..... I only have one single prebook. When I announce an El Paso trip I am booked long before I even step foot there. I was given the name of another provider who frequents the area and was told she would be a helpful source, but she never replied to me. So I am in need of advice from both sides.

I was told that Midland/Odessa is not prebook friendly due to schedules and once you get there it changes dramatically and to be patient, but me being the planner I am, that's a hard pill to swallow. just alone its a 9 hour drive and then hotel is around 500 for those 6 days. So I am incredibly nervous to take the plunge if I will leave barely covering expenses. So, is it really the type of place where prebooks don't happen and people pop out of the woodwork? What advice do any ladies have on how it is there? You can PM me if you want instead of posting it here.

I am coming and will be celebrating my birthday the big ol dirty 30 on the 19th. So I just want to make sure its not going to be this huge crazy let down.

Thanks for any advice by the way. I hope Midland/ Odessa will be good

Let me say I love midland odessa I come frequently oil has dropped so it's slowed down a lot I've never gotten any good amounts of previous here like they say be patient once you arrive. If you do BP post there..
that seems to be the most popular out there. To each their own though.
Now a room for 500 6 days is great there.. rooms go up on week days and down on weekends.
I'm a planner as well I know it's hard to step out of your comfort zone but sometimes you have to take a chance or you'll never know.

A realtor friend of line told me its finally hitting the real estate market. She has to work for leads now as before they blew people off who were not cash rich. But i digress.

Two. Angel is correct on using BP also. It is the main source of mongering for the oilfield workforce. Your long term gentz use ECCIE. Your OFT uses BP. Advertise there for better results. But keep in mind it will be just like when guys use BP. Pot luck and lower class.

Three, being OFT we can not prebook. Some jobs you get the luxury of a schedule. But not in the oilfields. Especially now that the surviving companies are competing for limited businesss. (i saw archer lay off 300 people and shut the yard down in 1 day and they are not the only ones) If a job comes up unexpectedly your booked appointment will be blown off. Hopefully they will contact you. If they are ECCIE quality guys you will get a heads up. If its some frac hand...crickets.

As for me. I am still on the fence. I live an hour further east in Big Spring (you go where the job sends you). I have my son this week into next week before I take him back to his moms. And honestly while you sound awesome your not my ususal preference of woman (nothing wrong with you I just have a different kink).

But I do wish you luck and if you have ANY questions on where to go to eat or stay or get something just PM me. I lived there for several years.
