I just got a new computer and am considering giving the old one (Dell) away. I don't know why anyone would want it, to tell you the truth. It's five years old, so virtually obsolete (although quality/high end when we bought it); tower rather than a laptop, which most people prefer; we're keeping the mouse, monitor, keyboard, speakers, etc. so you'd have to replace those. So I don't really expect any interest. And it would be more trouble giving it to some one than just having it recycled, and I wouldn't necessarily go to that trouble just to give it to some stranger. As anyone call tell you, I'm not only an SOB, I'm a lazy SOB. So I'll probably decide to just recycle it.
But then, when I got that one five years ago, I didn't think anyone would want the old one I was replacing, but a few people were interested. Who'da thunk??
So, in the unlikely event that you're interested . . . and think I might want to give it to you (either because I know or know of you and am favorably inclined or because you can trigger a hermit/curmudgeon's minimal charitable impulses) . . . drop me an email at chevalierdallas-p4p@yahoo.com. I'm not looking for payment, though.
Note: won't be ready to get rid of it until we're sure everything was transferred over successfully. So it may be awhile.
