May not be a "alert" it is possible they had a washer dryer for sale that the ladies came over to look at and the men who were with them were the movers

Yikes! Sounds like a set up to me
How many people do you know that would go look at a washer/dryer at 5:30 in the morning? ( or let someone into their house at that time to look at a washer/dryer). The APD report I saw said the two females were in the house for 10-15 mins before the 3 men entered. I hope it was some buy/sell scam turned dangerous, but I would lay odds it was a "date" gone bad. Hopefully someone can shed some more light on this.

Definitely an outcall double date. I would have loved to be in the room to observe the conversation between the two hobbyists as they make the decision to call in LE, and the subsequent conversation they had with LE.
Being a fly on the wall would have been entertaining. This incident just proves how dangerous it can be out there. We need to find out the "names" & numbers used in the ads the guys responded to. Hopefully someone will hear more details. "Grab and runs" and "bait and switches" are bad enough, getting the snot kicked out of you and getting pistol-whipped sure could ruin someone's "date"
DEFINITELY NOT an alert. Moving to coed.

I am glad to see that the people did call LE. What these types depend on is that the victims will be too embarrassed or afraid of being outed to SO's to report the crime.
