points deducted for something harmless

Mmmm, 5 points deducted for saying something harmless as in "friend." Where has this eccie world gone?

You should RTM that statement and also PM the MOD staff. We will hardly ever discuss why you received points in public.

I pmed the mod that gave me the deduction but no response.

BTW, when someone receives a WARNING or points, the system saves a copy of the post. Just in case someone decides to edit their post after receiving a WARNING.

When you have been given 25 points, you get BANNED.
Points are given for guideline violations, not for just being annoying.
Harmless or not, if someone feels insulted by something you said to or about them, they can and do hit the RTM button.
So quit whining about it and play nice.
Or go make another handle, I don't think "crybaby" is taken.
