where to stay in KC..really

I really think too much is being made of where to stay at in KC. Am I the only guy who is willing to drive :40 min to see the right girl? As long as the girl has verified reviews, I will drive to go see her. I just think there are other factors that cause a slow day besides location. Could be other events in town or that just got over, which other, and how many other, traveling providers are in town, verification process, menu, price, weather... Try running a special for a couple hours on a slow day to test if that changes things. Plaza is a central location but sometimes it has its drawbacks too. Parking, little streets for big trucks, fancy hotels you have to dress up to not stand out.... as long as you aren't in the ghetto, I will come to you where ever. No matter what part of town you stay in there are advantages and disadvantages and close clients and far clients that balance each other out.

Also, plaza, as well as downtown, are the first to eliminate lower rates when it gets busy.

cmore,
40 min? Maybe only during rush hr.
However, the actual point you made is still valid.
I agree. While the plaza sounds nice... i prefer to stay in a 2 1/2 star clean hotel in a decent area. I dont know why I'd be on a dns list as ive never had any issues with any hotel ever. I do find it easier to check into a pet friendly hotel as to draw even MORE attn to myself being the only guest in the hotel with a dog. I stick out enuff regardless of how hard i try to blend in

Also, the local news using a live plaza shot as their wallpaper during the weather and your s.o. seeing you drive by someplace you shouldn't be.

Angel, don't worry about the DNS comment. That was a newbie to this site and I don't think he totally understands the application of that term. I think he was applying it to a location rather than to you.

(Still) Thinking of Phoenix to see a lady with a VERY inviting profile on P411. The frugal side of me keeps hoping a local will fit the bill. Last was a 20 yo in Topeka. Other trips to other places.

So, no, you're not the only one. Depends heavily on the "Activity" line of reviews.
Well I'm in plaza but I think I will try at least a day in airport area just so I can familiarize my self with different areas. I know I was told before that the airport was a ways away so I always thought I'd try to stay somewhere close in the middle and in the nice part of the neighborhood
When I still lived in Topeka, and would drive to KC every few weeks, I quickly learned that location does matter. The further away you get from city center, the more guys find your location to be too inconvenient. So yes, it does matter. I stayed in Blue Springs once, not realizing how far away that was for most guys. LOL I watched alot of TV that weekend and learned a lesson.

I'd rather put on highway miles than drive downtown or the airport! Stop 'n go, no right turn there, no left turn here, drive around looking to park, always seems to be lacking street signs and/or house numbers . . . Then there's rush hour. . . And if that's not enough the anxiety/frustration level is flying high from Viagra! PHUCK THAT SHIT!

My son, on the other hand, LOVES the hustle and bustle! Go figure!

the airport motels are a ways south of the airport. I'd also rather drive to a different suburb than my own rather than to go dt or plaza, but I will go there. Shayla, the person that told you the airport is a ways away probably lives in the opposite direction. 15 from dt. And make your day there a weekday to catch business travelers.
Airport area is not a bad location. I initially thought it was an "inconvenient" area cause I thought it was too far but it didn't hinder my recent stay at all and it beats downtown parking (nightmare and costly)!!

I refuse to stay at the Plaza simply cause EVERYONE announces on here that it's the "go to" spot. Too many eyes for my comfort.
Not sure what the name of the place is, but MissSarahxxx was in an awesome place by the airport.

staff edit: location too specific-nlt

Thank you Dee and Sara

I'll repeat myself:
Over 2 dozen hotels to get lost in by airport.
And during midweek, full of business men.
Also, Zona Rosa (shopping & restaurants) has better prices than Plaza.

This from a guy that that likes Plaza.

To close, drive time ftom Marriott Plaza to Marriot Airport = 32 minutes (non rush hr).

But I do love Classic Cup on Plaza.
Their bar is open during breakfast.
It's not about a drive but sometimes the overall amount of time i have available. I prefer to visit a provider for an hour, and in doing so if I have a 40 to 50 min drive I need 3 hours to pull off the trip. I don't always have that kind of time to block out so for me distance has to be considered. Southern JoCo to Worlds of Fun or the airport is a solid 45 min without traffic... toss in any issues and it's an hour each way. Love Plaza locations as it's a quick 20 mins away and usually decent hotels.
