Got into Lubbock today for the first time and I have no clue what
any of the good spots are. I do not want a normal big chain like red
lobster or outback. What are the top 5 best places to eat out here?
From fast food all the way to fine dining.... I am starving and ready
for a great dinner tonight!

There is a hole in the wall Greek food place at 289 & University. It's decent for food.

Capital Pizza over off of Boston between 25th-29th is really good.

Chimmys off Broadway has the Tech crowd but really good food and margaritas.

Sazon's which is by Chimmys has damn good Mexican food as well.

There is a new place called Flips Tavern own by local guys on 13th and Ave Q.

Oh you guys are awesome! I think between ps and posts on here I have enough places this trip but I will certainly take some more personal opinions on places.... I really like cajun and seafood... Not enough places have there own touch on things but mom and pops shops to me... are some of the best!
Try Rockfish Seafood on Slide and South loop!! Have fun in Lubbock!!
The Back 40 on 98th and Slide Rd. has some interesting appetizers and a nice place to hang out. Also Teddy Jacks on 73rd St and Milwaukee Ave has very good pizza.

last i knew, twisted root was opening a shop in lubbock. if it's as good as the one in dallas, it's a burger to die for.
