Where to stay on my visit - please help

Hey guys.

I found a nice hotel to stay at on Travis street.

Is that a safe place to stay?

Or 70th St.

Both are very nice hotels and not casinos.

I have no interest in staying at a casino honestly.

I'm not there to gamble. Or have casino cameras follow me around.

I'd like to know input as soon as possible so I can book my room for my visit.

I appreciate the help.

Thanks so much!

Angie
Travis st seems to be in the nice area of downtown and not sure what part of 70th you mean but if its E. 70th that a good area but traffic is crazy congested right now due to road construction.

You can also look at financial plaza, pines rd . I wouldn't consider 70th street to much construction .
Ok, let me look at some more hotels and I'll come back with another list.

I'm using booking.com because I've used them before and usually gotten really good deals over Priceline and hotels.com
If you have better options, I'm willing to give it a try.

Is Shreveport downtown a location I should use in my search?
Thanks,

Angie
I would only stay at national brand hotels if I were you, Holiday Inn, Fairfeld Inn, Marroitt, Courtyard.

But not the Ramada on industrial drive in Bossier, that's a shit hole.

You are going to spend $200 on friday and saturday , and up to $100 Sun-Thurs, to stay at a safe hotel.

Here is an idea.

The hilton downtown is a good place also, price is a little on the higher end but you get what you pay for though.

Stay away from Monkhouse at all costs......Myself I do not like the Casino's because so many people frequent casino's and several you have to have a key card to get on the elevator.....Travis st. is cool....financial plaza is cool too
Thank you everyone for the advice. I received some good input in chat and in PM's as well.

I think I locked in where I'm going to stay and I will book it tomorrow after the holiday (or when I get home finished with all the holiday business from tonight).

I really look forward to coming to Shreveport to see you all!
Thanks for visiting us here in Shreveport. Hope your visit is enjoyable and rewarding.
