Another reason to be careful

I don't know if many of you saw this on the news, so I wanted to share it. Just more proof to be careful out there.

"Detectives with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office are searching for a pair of robbers who used ads on the website backpage.com to rob people looking for prostitutes on Christmas Eve.

Brandon Portalis, 23, and Keri Bruno, 18, are both wanted on active arrest warrants for an armed robbery on Dec. 24. Portalis is wanted on three counts of armed robbery. Police say he is known to frequent the Carencro area.

Bruno is also wanted on three counts of armed robbery and is known to frequent the Breaux Bridge area.

The victims in this case were lured to a location on Batiste Road after answering an ad on Backpage, which is similar to Craigslist, from someone who police say was soliciting prostitution. Once the victims reached the location to meet the prostitute, they were robbed by the suspects.

Capt. John Babin with the sheriff’s office said he wasn’t sure if the victims advised police that they were there looking for prostitutes.

Anyone with information on either suspect is asked to call the Lafayette Sheriff’s Office at 337-236-5895 or 337-232-9211."

That's why a person must do their due diligence, and screen... and you have to be careful the type of clientele you see. All money is not good money I keep telling people that, the money that you need will come to you from the right people at the right time if you do what you're supposed to do, and be a good provider. Although they just got some jackasses out there that just love taking advantage of the gentleman when they're in a vulnerable state. I'm sorry this happened to whoever was involved. Be careful gentleman, and also ladies be extra careful.

That happens with any city, not just Laffy. We get plenty of reports here about dash with cash or thug hanging nearby with backpage gals all the time.

Happens in Baton Rouge and New Orleans too!

I will only see P411 ladies or ECCIE ladies who frequent the site. It makes little sense to me not to have some leverage on a provider to be discrete and safe. My little head does not own me. I prefer quality over quantity anyway. I have even been able to click with a couple ladies even though I am up in age.
