Data Crunch Overload... seeking assistance apartment hunting.

I have been through about 100 different sites, probably more... My brain hurts, at least what's left of it will not stop screaming at me.

I need help finding an apartment.

Criteria-
Not an efficiency
Must have a Garage
Large Dog allowed (1 - 60 lb - pound puppy/mix)
Short Term Lease allowed (6-7 months)
Safe Neighborhood.
Under 900

Bonus points for-
Dog park
Close to park
Close to train (or less than 10 minutes bike ride)

I would like this to be North of 635, South of GB.
(a little norther wiggle room is ok)
Between or close to - Tollway - 75 or just over the edges.

Of course I want the most for my money. This is a personal living space. There are no Credit/employment issues. I hope to move in before the 1st.

I was helping a friend do some apartment hunting a couple weeks back. Don't think I contributed much else, but I did come across a pretty useful site for checking out crime statistics in search of a safe neighborhood:

Fairly easy searches by zip or address, and can be narrowed down by date range, category of crime, etc. Might be useful for weeding out some bad options once you've got a list that meets your other criteria.

Thanks, I have been using an apartment review site. Taking all those with a grain of salt. I will check out the crime stats once I get a list going. I only have 5 places for me to go look at when I get down there.

Why didn't anyone TELL me about "apartment locators" and how easy it would be to have THEM do all the hard work!

I went from thinking I would never find anything... to having over 30 options.. and is now narrowed down to a reasonable 14. I start looking at places tomorrow.. after I recover from the 13 hour drive down.
