Well, you may find your self a minority in San Francisco. I think it may be the gay capital of the USA, or maybe the world.
Heterosexuals are a minority.
As far as the things to see, golden gate itself is a nice walk and a good view. Alcatraz is another typical site for tourists. Fisherman's wharf, or whatever it's called.
Ride the cable car, and walk up and down the steep hills...
The geeky thing to do is to try and enter either Google or Apple headquarters. I've gotten as far as rub elbows with Google employees in checkout line at trader Joe's and being chased by the security from Google campus.
