It is a real chance. Let's just hope that after a few primaries, that the two obvious candidates don't kill each other trying to jockey to be the loser in the general election.

When one side party is quiet and the other party is killing each other, it helps the quiet party. This is part of the reason that an incumbant president has a strong chance of being re-elected.
