Dating civilians

Maybe this should go in the "stupid questions" thread, but here goes anyway: What's the best way for a 50+ widowed man to find a good female, civilian, partner?

The man is me, now single after many years of marriage. I'm an active hobbyist (and Eccier), but, I kept my marriage clear of scandal. For the time being, I'm gonna keep on hobbying, 'cos it's too much fun. But what I want long term is a nice lady who can keep me confined to her body.

Dating sites seemed like a good idea, but are actually an absolute nightmare. There's gotta be a better way. Any ideas?

I also realize that maybe this would be better posted in the Men's Room, but I've gotta get my privileges back (reviews coming next week), and it would be interesting to hear what some of the ladies say. I guess some of our ladies look online or elsewhere for their permanent retirement package?

as for good places, i still think the old-fashioned ways of getting out there and putting yourself in places to meet lots of people is still the best. i see dating as a volume game and the more you meet, the more likely you will find someone who you like. restaurants, events, parties, friends, all good ways to go. i don't like the bar scene too much as the quality of the women tend to be low unless you just want to nut, but even though the women tend to be on guard heavily in those settings.

Single 50+ woman will smell you a mile away. They will find you if you leave ur home. Also try Regular visits to the gym on weekday mornings, Financial advising seminars and travel clubs.

Or you could just kill yourself and save the headaches involved with dating someone...you've lived long enough already...

You are probably right W-U. Anything else going forward is just gravy. Dating is a hassle. Thank god for Eccie!
