Has "No Rates" changed anything for you?

Has the "No Rates" policy recently enacted changed any of your hobby/business practices? Whom you might see? How you might go about finding a new date? Frequency of dates, more/less? More or less PMs and phone calls? More or less talking about rates and activities?

I already find myself paying less attention to the ads. Previously, I would usually request a date with a lady through P411, mostly after seeing her ad posted here. Now, I find myself more likely see her on P411 and go straight from there. Other websites or hobby forums may benefit.

The three dates that I have had since the change of policy were affected by the very change. I think that the three ladies might all be ECCIE members. I don't know for certain. It didn't matter because I found them straight through P411.

IMO, I see no problem with listing rates and times as long as a menu is not listed in the same ad. A gentleman offers a lady an agreed upon donation for her time.

Now I am expected to PM or call a lady to find out what her special is or her ECCIE discount is. I find this to be less than best for lady and gentleman. More than not, it is a waste of time for both.

It doesn't matter now. Alea iacta est. Let's move on.

It might be better when the Showcases come back, if ladies update their showcase everytime they put up an ad. Unfortunately (for them) gentlemen without premium access will not be able to access that. I guess that there will more people buying PA or writing reviews just to get PA. ECCIE discounts or specials will only continue if ladies update their Showcase regularly for PA guys or if they tell guys to PM or call them.

What good could still come from the ads under the new policy: dates and times of availability during that week or weekend could be listed, new pics could be unveiled, and links to other websites where the info can be found (for the guys without PA).
Having the rates listed was a convience for both the gents and lady. Made it easier for the guy to decide without having to make a call or having to click one more time for her website. I personally think its a good idea not to have the rates and menu listed, but that's just me.

If a gent is truly interested in visiting with a lady, he'll find her website or another site where her rates and menu might be listed. From what I've seen in other threads, the rates will be back, but just for the gents who have PA. Its up to each gent as to what he's comfortable in doing, sending a PM/email and/or phone call.

If a ladies business is down because of this, it could be for numerous reasons. But, she shouldn't depend on just this site alone for her business unless that's what she's wanting.

I've seen plenty of ads on here where the rates or menu's aren't mentioned, just referred back to the ladies website. Those ladies seem to do just fine. Like I said earlier, if you see a lady who catches your eye and you're interested in seeing her, just do your homework. As you should be doing anyway.
I liked listing my rate. It's annoying that now I have ask people to follow a link to my website or to a review which is on this very same site. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Most of the ads warn the hobbyist that the provider will not discuss rates over the phone or by text. How is the hobbyist supposed to find out about "specials" that aren't on the provider's website if rates are not to be discussed?

And BTW, if anyone thinks that by not allowing rates to be posted that it's somehow shielding the provider from what is being advertised, then I have some east coast bridge property I need to unload.
ECCIE has instructed the ladies how to write new ads without rates or menu's. If a lady is running a special, she can put the following in her ad, "Email/PM/or check my website for any specials I might be having right now." The ladies will need to keep her site up to date, its actually quite simple.

If anything, its more work for us ladies and sorry its a hassle, but sometimes we do have to work for our money. Allie, you shouldn't have to ask them to follow your links if they're contacting you through this site. Your links are in your signature line and if they know how to search, they can find your rates. Unless the ad you run has something about a special in it, then you can direct them in the ad to your website for rates.

A lot of people seem to be alarmed or up in arms about this, but I don't see the big deal. Its only a big problem if you make it one. As humans, we get into routines and tend to get upset when the routine is changed. Embrace the change and find a way to work around it.
Men are in the " want it now" category most of the time. Be it information, women or info about women. Is it a big deal to not have the rates listed... not really. But it is one more hoop I'd have to jump through. And for me, I don't particularly like having to call up someone just to find out rates or specials if I can avoid it. Fact is, most of the time, the info is available within 2 -3 mouse clicks from an ad. If I'm really wanting to research, I'll highlight something & pull up what I need via Bing or Google (great for BP ads).

I think this whole thing will just lead me to see someone (or a few someones) more regularly. Those ladies know what I want and my trends anyway... So letting me know about a special will be a simple email or text away.

The only way that that forum is protecting itself here is by asking people to select that they are at least 18 before logging in. It can then be claimed that everyone one on the forum is presumed to be of legal age. Anyone, and I mean anyone, can buy premium access to see what is on the ladies' showcases, which pages do reside on the forum. Anyone can access a lady's website, located away from the forum, usually after selecting that one is at least 18, and rarely only after screening.

Sure, things are less convenient now, especially for the times when a lady might want to offer a very temporary special, e.g., her Incall date NCNSed her and she is sitting in a nice hotel with no date while suffering the expense. Now, she will have to say, "Call or PM/email me", which of course goes counter to many ladies and gents who sensibly prefer not to discuss donations. But, yes, life goes on. We adapt and change.

I would guess that the new policy was primarily enacted to boost the number of paid Premium Access members. IMO, it is about the $$$. If safety was the prime motivation, the policy would be simply one of forbidding the mention of any activity or promise of activity in an ad.

Is the amount paid and activities going to be removed from the non-ROS portion of reviews now?

Guys the rule has nothing to do with protecting the ladies and everything to do with protecting the site owners. And I don't blame them. After all a provider or hobbiest is looking at 1 count if caught. A site crossing multiple states could be in much bigger trouble if LE decides to get testy. Id be willing to bet this has a lot to dow ith the TER raid. But for whatever trouble it may cause us, it's less trouble than us having to find a new home (if one could be found) if this site were shut down.
Well whether we like it or not there isn't much we can do about it unless we cancel our membership which I won't be doing. I think we all agree it's a pain in the backside to say the least.
