I know what it's supposed to be but how am I supposed to get there? The descriptions written by people who achieve this state are pretty amazing and my curiosity has been piqued to the point where I want to achieve the same state myself. Is it possible for anyone to get there (with appropriate help) or is it something that only a few ever achieve?
For the ladies on this site, have you got any special tricks or methods that you find that can reliably push someone into subspace? From the descriptions it seems like subs enter it for entirely different reasons, so how do you figure out the key to any particular person? Are there any ladies that can virtually guarantee a trip to La-la land?
I have no idea what you are talking about. Subspace? Any chance you could elaborate at all?
Thanks
Here is a great description:

I am still relatively new to certain aspects of fetish. I haven't yet found a local person to help me explore those boundaries.
However, I have experienced what is described as subspace, a few times in a non-fetish context. (or maybe it was fetish, I'm just not really sure)
I'll share, for the sake of discussion.
The running theme is surrender... and trust
Once, I was with a partner, and right as I was about to orgasm, he put his hands around my neck, and squeezed just a tiny bit. It was a very secure feeling, not painful. As he squeezed, I surrendered to it - while I had allowed him a position where he could do me a world of hurt, I knew he'd never hurt me (trust) - and I had what was probably the most intense orgasm of my life, up to that point.
Occasionally I'll have the same experience during sex, if anal is involved, and the orgasm morphs from a multiple to one-long-extended one.
It's a bit confusing to me because fetish is typically considered non-sexual.
I'd also love to hear some insight from those who are more experienced in these matters.
Thanks for the site Solitaire. Can't say I've ever been to subspace. Can't say I've ever not been in control. Every provider I've had typically runs the standard gamut of activities. As a husband, father, oldest sibling, and currently Ops Manager of my company, I feel like I'm always in charge of everything and everyone around me.
I have to say I think it would be nice to give up control BCD. Sit back and have someone tell me what to do, tell me what's going to happen and there's not shit I can do about it. Hell, tie me down and have your way with me. Wonder if I could even go there, give up that much "control". Be interesting to try.
Thank you, OP, for introducing me to this topic, and Solitaire, for the interesting link. I now have a new website to check out.
As close as I can get to defining subspace, which I have been in many times over the last dozen years, is (at least for me), a detached from reality, floaty, introspective place. Some think that corporal punishment results in the release of endorphins, and that is what produces this unique state of mind.
I had heard about subspace for some time, but was very skeptical about whether it really existed. I had been fascinated by BDSM from a submissive perspective for quite some time, had seen Dommes on several occasions, and enjoyed those games very much, but hadn't been in subspace.
Shortly after I moved to Houston, I learned of a Houston institution, Mistress Precious. She is still active and her website is mistressprecious.com
I contacted her and expressed my interests, which are many, but especially about subspace. She was enthused about helping me get there. To make a long story short, I didn't experience it on the first visit, but did on the second and all subsequent visits. It got easier to get in this head space with the passage of time and the development of deep trust in her. Mistress Precious is extremely skilled with corporal. Initially for me, it seemed like the gradual increase of intensity, constantly pushing me to the edge of what I could handle was what seemed to trigger the drop into subspace. It usually happens quickly for me, and I abruptly go from dancing on the edge or a little over the edge of the pain/pleasure boundary, to not feeling pain from whips, crops, paddles or anything else. You need an experienced Domme, because you could be hurt without knowing it when you get here. I also go from feeling sexual to a delightfully euphoric. I have wondered if it is anything like the state that people who are skilled at meditation achieve.
It became easier to get into this state with practice. I love attention to my nipples, and after a time, her simply squeezing my nipples or putting nipple clamps on me was enough to send me flying. Someone earlier in this thread mentioned the importance of trust, and I strongly agree with that.
It's certainly up to the individual, but I'm glad I explored, glad I managed to handle some fairly intense corporal which got me into subspace the first several times. But there did seem to be a learning curve and it got progressively easier to get there.
After such a session, the euphoria would gradually fade over a period of 12-24 hours, but the world was a golden place during that time. Some people talk about experiencing "sub drop" after being in subspace. That being a sad or depressed state as I understand it. I've personally not experienced that. It has been a very positive experience for me--and the stripes on my ass would go away after several days!!
Try to find someone who is very experienced if you want to try to experience this. Mistress Precious is incredible at this. I have recently seen Domina Shannon a couple of times and she is also very skilled at this. Both are very trustworthy and won't go further than you want them to. Properly practiced, the BDSM mantra is "safe, sane, and consensual". I've always intended to see Mistress Ella Strictland, but never gotten around to it. She also has an excellent reputation. What you will not get with any of these women is intimate sexual contact with them. You may be allowed to get yourself off, or some sort of vibrator used on you, but no penetration or oral sex.
For my tastes, achieving subspace is a sublime experience, but not something to be pursued casually.

I regularly do submission and I often will find my self in subspace during a session when I'm flogged or something like that. It happens a lot. You kind of zone out and the endorphins kick in so it doesnt sting when you get cropped or nipple clamps or clothespins are used on you. Vibing and stimuation also causes this.
It's simple. And sometimes complicated to explain.
But you have to let your body go. Trust.
Sensations.
What I ask is that you allow yourself to sink into the abyss. Do it through the stomach.
Ask yourself to go down steps. A coolness.
Or complete warmth and comfort.
Takes many forms.
You'll know it when it happens. Or later, afterwards. You'll realize ... wow. I was in subspace.

Quick Notes:
More experienced players will know how to set their mood to allow it to happen faster. And with more intensity.
Have you ever had a difficult time trying to orgasm? Sometimes, that happens. Once you let go, take the pressure off, that's when it'll wash over you.
Trust, though, and letting go is paramount for the experience to happen, at least it has been in my experience, whether going after it in sex work or otherwise.
Hope this helps.

Subspace twice and last night was my second time. Dallas was expanding me and I reached out to a mind blowing orgasm. The other time I was playing with needles and breast expansion with saline injections. I would love to find a wild woman that was into it. Where both of us would participate.
I freaking love subspace. I got my butt beat Saturday night to the point they broke the paddle lol. I was so deep in subspace. It's like you're in heaven. You feel amazing and happy. Just blissfully floating. Aftercare is important too! Cuddles, chocolate, and protein.
