why post a iso ad?

I have noticed a few iso ads on many boards .
Yet when the providers reply they get no reply back.

Alot of providers will even post on the iso ad that they got no reply

So what was the point of posting the iso ad?

It isn't used much here but on some area like in TX its used a lot.
